EPDM Safety Surfacing

• Laid a 10 mm EPDM rubber wear layer over a 10 mm polyurethane binder across the entire play zone, providing continuous shock absorption under swings, slides, and climbing structures.

• Chose UV-stable, color-pigmented EPDM granules (dark blue with light-grey speckles) to complement the Oasis landscaping and hotel color palette.

• Ensured conformance with EN 1177 “Critical Fall Height” standards for a 2.5 m falling height, reducing injury risk for young children.

Perimeter & Partition Fencing

• Installed 2 m-high, PVC-coated steel mesh panels around the playground, anchored into concrete footings to prevent peripheral debris and unauthorized access.

• Added a 1.2 m-high internal picket-style fence to separate the toddler area (ages 2–5) from the main play zone (ages 6–12), ensuring age-appropriate safety.

• Fitted a lockable, self-closing gate at the primary entry point, complete with stainless-steel hinges and slam-latch hardware for easy staff operation and childproof security.
